Swapna Barman has reacted to the viral video where her mother cried after her daughter became the first Indian to win first Indian heptathlete to win an Asian Games gold. The video went viral on social media hours after Swapna’s historic feat.Speaking at India Today’s East Conclave 2018, Swapna for the first time opened up on the video that struck a chord with the entire nation. Swapna comes from a very poor family and she had to struggle really hard to win her Asiad gold. She did not even get customised shoes to ease the pain of a sixth finger on both her feet.Besides, Swapna had battled severe toothache through her events.
